What Is the Guardian Program?
We occasionally keep exceptional puppies to become future moms or dads in our breeding program. Instead of raising them in a kennel environment, we place them with carefully selected local families.
The dog lives full-time in your home as a loved family pet. Adorable Labradoodle retains breeding rights during the program. After retirement, the dog remains permanently with your family.
Each future mom or dad is selected for temperament, structure, coat, color and pedigree, and must complete all required health testing before being approved for breeding.

Complete breeding schedules, responsibilities, veterinary requirements and ownership terms are reviewed with approved families in the Guardian Agreement before placement.
Common questions
What Families Want to Know
How long does the Guardian Program last?
For females, breeding begins after health testing is complete (usually between 4 and 11 months) and continues for up to four litters. For males, it continues until about age seven. After that the dog is spayed or neutered and retires permanently with your family.
When will my dog stay with Adorable Labradoodle?
Only for short, planned periods: females come to us during the heat cycle for breeding, and stay with us for whelping and the first weeks of puppy care. The rest of the time the dog lives full-time with you.
Which expenses are covered by the breeder?
We cover reproductive health testing and all expenses related to breeding. Everyday care — food, routine veterinary visits, grooming and training — stays with your family, as it would for any family dog.
Can I apply if no Guardian dog is currently available?
Yes. Opportunities are limited and come up a few times a year, so we encourage families to apply in advance. Approved families join the waitlist and are contacted as soon as a suitable future mom or dad is ready.
Is there a Guardian Program fee?
There is no full puppy purchase price. The Guardian Program is a low-cost way to welcome a top-quality Australian Labradoodle, in exchange for partnering with us during the breeding years.
